This Melbourne foursome flaunts their love for classic rock proudly, and loudly. Paying kudos to AC/DC, The Who and T. Rex, the band's debut album, 2003's Get Born sold over 3.5 million copies and propelled Jet to the top of the US rock charts. Halfway through the making of the album, the group was offered the opening slot on the Australian leg of the Rolling Stones 2003 tour. The record's ubiquitous single, "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" helped Jet sell albums and helped Apple sell iPods. Hollywood soon came knocking, plucking tracks from Get Born for the Spiderman-2 soundtrack and the television series Alias. The band released their sophomore effort, Shine On, in October of 2006 and are set to rock Australia's legendary Big Day Out festival early in 2007.
