Jon Spencer has spent the best part of fourteen years playing dirty blues with the Jon Spencer's Blues Explosion, now he's teamed up with Matt Verta-Ray of Madder Rose and Speedball Baby fame to form Heavy Trash and they sound filthy! Jon Spencer has been described as "The Most Exciting Performer in Rock'n'Roll Today" and upon hearing the anarchic blues on Heavy Trash's debut record you can see why. Recorded in Spencer 's studio in the basement of his apartment in New York, Heavy Trash's debut sounds unique amongst the current crop of over polished rock outfits.
