Described as "naughty, deranged fun" and an eclectic romp, the Brighton-based foursome seems destined for big things. Initially a side project for British Sea Power's Eamon Hamilton, two critically acclaimed albums later, Brakes is a main gig. Starting with their 2005 debut, Give Blood, a 16 song record that clocks in at 29 minutes and continuing with 2006's The Beatific Visions, they've released a strong run of singles and remixes that deliver amped-up alternative rock with a tinge of punky folk. After touring with Belle and Sebastian and Editors, Brakes show no sign of slowing down.
